First and biggest tip is go to silvers gym and do hand pad training everyday. This is the best way to farm skill points early on. Second, a pitfall to look out for is training to much strength early in the game. Tiger really doesnt need much strength because of high base damage on their abilities.
As far as scheudule goes you gotta fight in a league every 3 days. this 3 day window is sorta the way i plan my character. think of it as your work week. fighting in the leagues gives you more skill points and progresses the story as well but if your losing its can set you back. so its ok skip the league to focus on training until you get a little stronger. try to pick one or two exercises to do every day to completion (the little dots become empty and you stop). at the start this is push up but as you build a home gym and make time for the weight room you can focus in on your core stats. For tiger jump rope, speed bag, and wing chun are good). then you just gotta make a little time for working so you can feed yourself. 3-4 shifts at construction (6-7 at pizza) once every 3 days typically enough to keep you going.
As for tiger theres a bunch of ways to go about it but for simplicity id suggest focusing on one line until you get deeper into the it. try going, karate high kick, windflow dodge, thru to kick drop and agility focus. then decide if you want to finish off to the end (controled fury) or go back and collect some fun modifiers.
By that point you should have a better grasp of the game and can start playing around a bit more. also dont be scared to start over. once you get the hang of things you can progress through the game pretty quick with a good flow going. trying to fix a character that stuck can actually feel pretty daunting. also dont get caught up in the day clock, some pros can beat the game in less the 70 days but lots of us take are time playing 200,300 no big deal. Its all about fun after all.
So I shouldn't just burn through my hunger and sleep bar while at the gym?
Also, should I just leave strength at 1 through the whole game?
Well unless your trying to hit a certain stat level you dont need to focs the gym to hard at least earlier in the game. Id focus on the skills before the stats at the beginning of the game. but still keep your main stat higher. example, 1/4/2 at the beginning for a while, then maybe 2/8/4 for a bit. use the gym when you need it. say to hit Do Not Fall Down II and III. when your doing that go to the gym with full sleep and hunger and feel free to use it all if you got a reserve of food.
I think alot of people leave strength some what untrained for most of the game for thier tiger builds. but you get some residual training in it. so it often goes over 1 even if yuor not trying. The real trick is taking note of your energy consumption in longer fights. see if you can afford another point in strength. The key is just do not train strength brainlessly. you can make it work with str 8 or more, but you want to be at a point where you can handle it. being 4/4/2 early in the game and having dodge and kicks equiped and your gonna run out of energy alot.
Okay I'll keep strength at 2, but GOD is it annoying to keep in check, sometimes I waste valuable Agility training time.
Btw, should I purchase a 4th attack box?
Finally, which is better to do, The illegal fighting tournament or the legal fighting tournament?
The two fight leagues lead to the two different ending just pick one to focus on one game and then try the other one next time.
kidnappers will phone you. if they have already did it. then you need to defeat all crocodile ninja mutants
